Sunny weekend ahead, though rainy nights possible

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The National Weather Service in Cheyenne reports that residents of the capital city should expect a warm and mostly sunny weekend ahead, though the forecast includes a slight chance of precipitation later in the afternoon and into the night.

Today’s forecast calls for mostly clear skies and a high temperature that nears 88 degrees. The NWS in Cheyenne reports a slight 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m.

A 30% chance of thunderstorms will return at night, likely before 9 p.m. Night skies will remain mostly clear, with a low around 54 degrees.

Sunday’s weather is likely to be sunny from sunrise to sundown, with the NWS in Cheyenne calling for a high near 85 degrees. At night, Sunday’s temperature should drop to a low of 50.
