Rain expected to kick off coming week

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Cheyenne area is likely to see scattered showers and storms as the coming week gets underway, according to the forecast from the National Weather Service in Cheyenne.

Monday morning is expected to be mostly sunny. However, by the afternoon, the NWS in Cheyenne reports a 60% likelihood of scattered showers and possible thunderstorms for much of the rest of the day. Meanwhile, temperatures are expected to reach a high of 78 degrees.

Monday night’s forecast includes a 50% chance of continuing showers and thunderstorms before midnight and a low around 54 degrees.

On Tuesday, the chance of rainfall only grows to 70%, with temperatures during the day expected to climb to a high of 84 degrees.

At night, a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms will remain until around midnight. Night skies will stay mostly cloudy, with a low around 55 degrees reported.
