Sunny start to weekend could end with rain, NWS says

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Cheyenne area could enjoy a sunny day on Saturday before a rainy night and Sunday, the National Weather Service in Cheyenne reports.

Today should be sunny and hot, with the NWS in Cheyenne reporting a high temperature near 92 degrees. West winds are predicted to move through the region at around 10 mph.

At night, however, the NWS in Cheyenne reports a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight. The temperature is likely to fall to a low of roughly 61 degrees.

On Sunday, Cheyenne residents will see a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. The day will be slightly cooler while still very warm, reaching a high of 89 degrees.

That 20% chance of rain will continue past sundown as nighttime temps are expected to fall to a low of 60.
