CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Weather conditions may be prime for potential fires on Thursday.
On Wednesday morning, the National Weather Service in Cheyenne issued a fire weather watch throughout most of southeast Wyoming. A combination of low humidity and a strong southwest wind will result in a higher risk for rapid wildfire growth. Wind gusts may reach as high as 40–50 mph.
The weather advisory period will be in effect from noon to 8 p.m.
