CASPER, Wyo. — Two people arrested and charged in connection with a homicide investigation in Casper, turned themselves in, according to court documents.
An affidavit filed in Natrona County Circuit Court says that 31-year-old Anthony Rodriguez and 31-year-old Allison Solis turned themselves into authorities in El Paso County, Colorado; telling law enforcement that Rodriguez had killed an adult woman in Casper.
Both Rodriguez and Solis are charged in the connection of the murder of 54-year-old Mary Margaret Fogle. After being returned to Natrona County by Colorado authorities, Rodriguez faces a felony charge of 2nd Degree Murder. Solis faces a charge of Accessory After the Fact to 2nd Degree Murder.
The court document says that on November 18, 2019, the Casper Police Department received a call from E Paso County, Colorado Sheriff’s Office; who requested a welfare check for a woman on the 1200 block of South Conwell Street in Casper.
El Paso County investigators reportedly told the Casper PD that Rodriguez had tried to turn himself in for the murder of Fogle, while Rodriguez was in El Paso County, Colorado. It was reported that Solis, who was identified as Fogle’s daughter, was with Rodriguez and was identified as a witness.
Police performed a welfare check of the home, and observed what appeared to be small drops of dried blood, on a floor that was visible from the exterior window. Officers say they forced entry into the home, and report finding Fogle deceased, lying in a hallway.
The affidavit says that Rodriguez was interviewed by homicide investigators from El Paso County. During that interview it was reported that Rodriguez admitted to stabbing Fogle in the neck in the late afternoon or evening of Sunday, November 17, 2019.
Rodriguez said that both he and Solis were at the Conwell Street home at the time. After the incident, Rodriguez said that he and Solis packed up Fogle’s vehicle with their personal belongings, Fogle’s dog, and Fogle’s purse. The pair the is reported to have driven to Colorado.
Solis was also interviewed by El Paso County authorities, who report that Solis claimed she was home when the murder took place, and witnessed Rodriguez’s actions. Solis said she was afraid for Rodriguez and how much trouble he was in.
Both suspects were booked into the Natrona County Detention Center Tuesday morning, and made their initial appearance in court Tuesday afternoon.
All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.
