CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Court papers say that a Cheyenne woman is facing multiple felony drug and child endangerment charges after being arrested by the Cheyenne Police Department.

Ashley Harada, age 33, faces three felony counts of Distributing Controlled Substances to Person under 18, as well as three counts of Child Endangering.

Court papers allege that Harada supplied three minors with marijuana at a residence on the 3400 block of Eastview St.

Police say that a parent of one of the minors involved in the case became concerned with their child fell ill after they came from Harada’s residence.

Laramie County Circuit Court documents say that the two minors were checked into the hospital for medical observation. One minor was described as initially being unresponsive and unable to communicate.

An affidavit says that, when one minor was interviewed by police, they claimed that they and two other minors were supplied THC wax by Harada. It was also alleged that Harada encouraged them to smoke it.

Both minors reported tested positive for THC, the active euphoric element in marijuana.

It was also reported that other minors were present in the home.

Harada denied being home during the incident, and also denied using marijuana, herself.

The combined charges carry a maximum potential penalty of 20 years in prison, fines up to $20,000 or both.

All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Laramie County District Attorney’s Office.
