CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Court documents say that a Cheyenne woman is facing five criminal charges, after an arrest by the Cheyenne Police Department on January 26th.
Jessica Hoover made her initial court appearance in Laramie County Court on Wednesday, January 29th, to face a felony charge of Possession of Methamphetamine, and four misdemeanor counts of Possession of Heroin, Possession of Psilocybin, Possession of Morphine Sulfate, and Eluding.
Court papers say that in the evening hours of January 26th an officer from The Cheyenne Police Department attempted to pull Hoover over on the southside of town for having improper registration on her vehicle license plates. Police say that Hoover did not immediately stop and was observed throwing an item outside of the driver’s side window during the pursuit.
According to the affidavit, when Hoover eventually was pulled over she was placed under immediate arrest for Eluding.
Investigators say that when they located the items Hoover had thrown out the window it included a baggie of Methamphetamine that weighed 6.3 grams, a baggie of heroin that weighed 2.1 grams, a baggie of 15 morphine pills, and a baggie of Psilocybin (mushrooms) weighing 4.4 grams.
All of the reported weights were said to include the packaging.
According to Wyoming Statutes anyone convicted of possessing more than three grams of Methamphetamine can be imprisoned for up to 7 years, and face a fine of up to $15,000.
All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Laramie County District Attorney’s Office.
