Laramie Police say that a man is in custody after allegedly threatening others with a knife.

On February 29, 2020 at approximately 11:00 p.m. Laramie Police Officers responded to the 100 Block of Ivinson Street for the report of a male who had threatened two people with a knife.

As a result of the Officers’ investigation, Laramie PD says that they arrested Scott J. Davenport, a 56-year-old Laramie resident.

Davenport has been recommended for a charge of Aggravated Assault and Battery and a misdemeanor drug charge.

Bond has not yet been set on the felony charge, and Mr. Davenport remains incarcerated at the Albany County Detention Center.

Aggravated assault and battery is a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than ten years.

All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Albany County District Attorney’s Office.
