A woman was arrested and faces multiple recommended charges, after police say that she was found be in possession of suspected methamphetamine, with a juvenile in the car.
Bobbie Ann Mills, born in 1970, was arrested by the Cheyenne Police Department on March 5, 2020; after being pulled over during a traffic stop.
An affidavit filed in Laramie County Circuit Court says that officers were on patrol in the area of Morrie Avenue and Broken Wheel Court, in Cheyenne, when they observed a four-door passenger vehicle with no visible registration.
Officers say the also suspected the vehicle of speeding, when they initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver of the vehicle, identified as Mills, and a teenage minor passenger.
During the course of the investigation, the affidavit says that officers deployed a K9 unit, and that the K9 unit indicated the presence of controlled substances inside the vehicle.
Mills was asked to step out of the vehicle, and officers report that she became argumentative after she was informed that officers were going to search her person. Police say that they had to physically restrain Mills, who attempted to pull away from them.
Approximately 21 grams of suspected methamphetamine was found on Mills’ person along with two suspected methamphetamine pipes, a scale containing suspected methamphetamine residue.
Mills was arrested and transported the Laramie County Jail without further reported incident.
During a March 6th hearing in Laramie County Circuit Court, Mills was charges with felony Child Endangerment, felony Possession of Methamphetamine, and misdemeanor Interference With a Police Officer.
All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.
