The Rock Springs Police Department has announced that a suspect in an attempted murder case has been bound over to Sweetwater County District Court.
On January 29, 2020, Alexander Cave, age 27, was arrested for a reported stabbing in the 900 block of Walnut Street, in the Rock Springs area.
“The victim suffered several stab wounds and was treated at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County,” Police officials said in a written statement Wednesday. Further details were not made immediately available.
Cave was reportedly bound over May 27, 2020, during his preliminary hearing for Attempted 2nd Degree Murder and remains in the Sweetwater County Detention Center with a $250,000 bond.
All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Sweetwater County District Attorney’s Office.
