CHEYENNE, Wyo. – A 42-year old man is facing multiple felony charges following accusations that he pulled a knife on two people during an argument.

According to paperwork filed in Laramie County Circuit Court, Isedro Montano was arrested by the Cheyenne Police Department on August 1st, 2020 after police were called to investigate a disturbance at a residence within the city limits.

Authorities say that when they arrived on scene they spoke with two witnesses who alleged that Montano had threatened them at knifepoint during a verbal disagreement.

One of the accusers told police that they observed Montano to be intoxicated at the time of the alleged incident. They went on to allege that Montano had threatened to burn down their house before throwing a beer bottle that they say struck them in their back.

Court documents say that Montano then pulled out a pocket knife. The accuser told police that they observed the suspect acting “violent”. The witness alleged that Montano mentioned killing them while brandishing the knife.

According to the affidavit, another witness told police that they attempted to break up the altercation. They say Montano pointed the knife at them and said “You too b***h while they attempted to intervene.

Court documents say that Montano resisted police when they attempted to place him into custody. Officers report that the suspect would not comply with lawful commands.

“I arrived on location and observed another officer in a physical altercation with Montano. I was able to assist and placed him in handcuffs.”

Montano made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on August 4th, 2020 where he was read the felony charges of Aggravated Assault – Threaten with a Weapon read to him. He was also read the misdemeanor counts of Domestic Battery and Interference with a Peace Officer during the same court proceedings.

All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Laramie County District Attorney’s Office.
