CHEYENNE, Wyo. – A 21-year old woman made her initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on August 4th, 2020, to face drug charges following her arrest.

Aja Johnson was read a felony count of Possession of Heroin and misdemeanor charges of Possession of Marijuana and Criminal Entry to her during the court proceedings, according to obtained court documents.

Johnson is the second individual to face charges in a case from last May that involved a group of individuals that allegedly possessed several suspected narcotics while staying in a trailer that he wasn’t theirs.

Deputies with the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office say that on May 13th, 2020, they were dispatched to the 6100 block of Laramie Street in relation to a report of narcotics being used in a trailer.

According to court papers, deputies spoke to a resident of the trailer park who informed them that nobody should be staying in the trailer where the suspected drug use was taking place.

The affidavit filed in the case says that when deputies knocked on the door of the trailer they discovered Johnson and two other individuals inside.

Deputies report that upon entering the trailer they located a clear plastic baggie with a “green leafy” substance inside of it. The suspected substance was tested and came back with a presumptive positive for being marijuana. Deputies say that the substance weighed .195 ounces.

While searching the rest of the trailer deputies say that they also located three syringes that contained a clear liquid in them. Law enforcement went on to say that the combined weight of the syringes was 121 units.

Authorities say that the syringes have been sent to the Wyoming State Crime Lab for testing.

The affidavit says that the deputies then discovered a make-up case that contained clear plastic bags which they describe to have held a hard black color substance.

According to the LCSO, the weight of the substance was 4.7 grams and tested presumptive positive for being heroin.

All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Laramie County District Attorney’s Office.
