Police officials in the Texas community of Killeen have announced the arrest of nine suspects over the course of a child prostitution sting. Three of the suspects have been identified as military.
The Killeen, Texas Police Department says that the Killeen PD Special Victim’s Unit in partnership with the Texas Department of Public Safety Human Trafficking Program, concluded a two-day child prostitution sting, on Saturday, August 8, 2020.
“The overall goal of this joint effort was to locate and arrest subjects who were willing to make overt efforts to pay minors to engage in sexual acts,” a written statement from the Killeen PD said. “During this operation nine suspects, three of whom are military, contacted officers through various social media platforms and made agreements for sexual acts with girls they believed were 15 or 16 years of age.”
Killeen is home of Texas’s Fort Hood, a United States Army post.
The agreements were allegedly for fees that included money, drugs, and/or alcohol. The suspects were apprehended without incident when they arrived at a predetermined location.
The operation concluded with seven felony prostitution charges, two misdemeanor prostitution charges, and two guns were confiscated.

- Pierre Jean, 32, of Killeen, Class A Prostitution
The Killeen Police Department reminded, in their written statement, “If you see something, say something.” Citizens are advised to report any suspicious activity involving Human Trafficking to your local 9-1-1 emergency center.
Recently, in Wyoming, a child sexual abuse suspect was arrested west of Cheyenne after a Colorado Port of Entry Officer observed signs associated with human trafficking while inspecting a vehicle.
All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the appropriate prosecuting office.
