CASPER, Wyo. — A shots-fired call placed to emergency dispatch Saturday night has led to the arrest of a 19-year-old man in Casper, police say.
The suspect, identified by police as Quintin Vasquez, was arrested without incident on two recommended felony Aggravated Assault charges.
Officials with the Casper Police Department say that officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the area of the 2200 Block of South McKinley Street, in Casper, at approximately 11:30 pm, Sept. 12, 2020,

“Upon arrival at the suspected residence, officers attempted to contact anyone inside. Having received no response and the possibility of a threat to a human life, officers entered the unlocked residence,” a statement from the Casper Police Department said, Monday. “Officers did not find any individuals inside and quickly cleared the residence, obtaining a search warrant for further investigation.”
It is reported that short time after, two individuals who claimed to live at the residence returned and contacted officers.
The individuals are said to have told officers that a gathering was going on, and an altercation took place in the home. During the altercation, it was reported that one individual took another’s firearm and shot through the wall and ceiling multiple times.
Police say no one was injured as a result of the shots fired.
Officers were able to locate several bullet casings and identify gunshot holes consistent with the residents’ story. Ultimately, officers located the individual suspected of firing the gun, identified as Vasquez, at a private home in Casper.
All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.
