CASPER, Wyo — The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) announced Monday it is investigating a homicide that took place near Pavilion on Christmas Eve.
According the release, the sheriff’s office responded around 8:46 pm Dec 24 to a 911 call stating that a man had received a significant chest injury. Deputies responding to the address found a 41-year-old man with an apparently stab wound to the chest.
“Deputies and ambulance crews attempted to render aid, but unfortunately the man did not survive,” the release said.
Pavilion area female Bennilee Strock, age 39, was arrested in connection with the death after an investigation and is currently in detention on the charge of Murder in the Second Degree, the release said.
