Rawlins Police announce arrest of man in Felony Child Abuse Case

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – The Rawlins Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect in a felony case of Child Abuse.

According the the Rawlins PD, Nathon Gallant, age 29, was arrested and charged with a felony count of Aggravated Child Abuse.

According to a statement posted on social media, Rawlins Police responded to a 911 call, in early August of 2020, reporting an unresponsive baby on the 600 block of 7th Street, in Rawlins.

Police say that after an investigation, Gallant, a resident of Rawlins was arrested and charged. Further details were not immediately available.

Aggravated Child Abuse is a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than 25 years.

All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Carbon County District Attorney’s Office.
