Cheyenne police continue investigation into two ‘shots fired’ incidents

CHEYENNE, Wyo. The Cheyenne Police Department today announced that they are still investigating two reports of shots fired over the past several days.

Officials with the CPD say that on Sunday, June 6 at approximately 9:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to a report of shots fired around the 200 block of Stinson Avenue. Officers safely established a perimeter and contacted several people of interest.

A male subject, 33, of Cheyenne was later located with a nonfatal gunshot wound at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released,” Alexandra Farkas, Public Information Officer for the Cheyenne Police Department stated.

Authorities added that then, on Wednesday, June 9 at approximately 3:15 p.m., police began investigating another report of shots fired in southwest Cheyenne.

“It is believed that these two incidents may be connected,” Farkas went on to say.
