CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A suspect in a fatal shooting has been seen in Laramie County Circuit Court for his initial appearance today.
Tyler Hill, 25, was seen today in front of Judge Lee for his initial appearance. He has been charged with second-degree murder.
On Wednesday, Aug. 23, deputies were dispatched to a call in Burns of an assault with a gun. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim was deceased at the property from an apparent gunshot wound.
Hill was identified as the possible shooter later and taken into custody. A witness told detectives that Hill and the victim had gotten into a verbal altercation and he shot the victim with an unknown, small black firearm.
Hill’s bond was set at $250,000 cash and his preliminary hearing will be held on Sept. 1 at 9 a.m.
