CASPER, Wyo. — Late Wednesday, Sept. 13, at about 11:49 p.m., a 38-year-old man was shot in a Converse County residence near Douglas. Douglas Police initially secured the scene before handing it over to Converse County sheriff’s deputies, according to a press release by the Converse County Sheriff’s Office.
First responders attempted life-saving efforts without success. The Converse County Sheriff’s Office, with support from the Wyoming State Crime Laboratory, is leading the ongoing investigation.
Evidence points to the shooting as an isolated event. Officials assure there’s no broader threat to the community. They have arrested a suspect linked to the incident.
