Escape Detention, Morrie Avenue, Nov. 8, LCSO
A 27-year-old transient Cheyenne woman is back in custody, charged with escaping detention on a felony conviction.
The Laramie County Sheriff’s Office said a deputy conducting a traffic stop at Morrie Avenue and Teton Street at 3:29 p.m. for no visible registration recognized Zoe Fawn Slater, according to a booking sheet. Checking her information, the deputy learned of an Aug. 3 warrant for her arrest for escaping from Cheyenne Transitional Center.
She was taken into custody and taken to the Laramie County Detention Center.
Meth Possession, East Lincolnway, Nov. 7, LCSO
A deputy stopped a 54-year-old Cheyenne man on the 3600 block of East Lincolnway after recognizing the driver and remembering there was a warrant for his arrest for failure to appear.
The deputy spotted the parked car at about 11:20 p.m. and waited for the driver to exit the building. When he approached his car, the deputy made contact with him. The man was handcuffed while the warrant was confirmed with dispatchers, a booking sheet states.
The deputy searched the man and reportedly found 2 grams of suspected methamphetamine in the small pocket of the man’s pants. The deputy reported the man said the pants did not belong to him.
The man was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center.
Disturbing the Peace and Disturbing Property, East 23rd Street, Nov. 7, CPD
The Cheyenne Police Department is charging a 33-year-old transient Cheyenne woman with disturbing peace and property after she refused to leave Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
A booking sheet states an officer responded to the call of a patient refusing to leave at 11:26 p.m. At the hospital, the officer made contact with the woman, who was sitting in front of the ER. She was issued a trespass warning and was told multiple times to leave. When she again refused, she was taken into custody, a booking sheet states.
She was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center.
