Laramie County Crime Clips (11/14/23–11/15/23)

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Here is a brief summary of notable crimes in and around Cheyenne, obtained through law enforcement reports compiled by the Cheyenne Police Department, the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office and the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

Interference with a Peace Officer, Factor Lane, Nov. 14, LCSO

A 43-year-old man is facing four misdemeanor charges for interfering with a peace officer.

The Laramie County Sheriff’s Office states in a booking sheet that around 11:26 p.m. several deputies responded to an individual who wanted to harm himself. The man threw rocks at and ran toward the deputies’ vehicles. One of the deputies ordered the man to lie down, but the man refused.

Law enforcement eventually restrained the man, who continued to be uncooperative by dragging his feet and dropping his weight. The 43-year-old spat on the officers before being placed in handcuffs.

The man was transported to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for his injuries. Once cleared, he was taken to Laramie County Detention Center and booked. His court date is set for 9 a.m. Nov. 21 in Laramie County Circuit Court.

Active warrant, Morrie Avenue and East 1st Street, Nov. 14, CPD

An officer arrested a 27-year-old woman on a felony charge.

A Cheyenne officer states in a booking sheet that they performed a traffic stop on a vehicle with non-operable tail lights at 6:06 p.m. The officer made contact with the driver and confirmed through a National Crime Information Center search that she was driving on a suspended license. The individual also had an active warrant out of Larimer, Colorado. The warrant was for failure to appear for an original charge of possessing drug paraphernalia, vehicular eluding, criminal mischief, cruelty to animals, obstructing a peace officer, DUI and leaving the scene of an accident with damage.

The officer placed the woman in handcuffs and took her to Laramie County Detention Center. She was booked into the facility on the warrant and was cited for a second-offense instance of driving with a suspended license. The woman’s court hearing is set for 9 a.m. Nov. 29 in Cheyenne Municipal Court.
