CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Here is a brief summary of notable crimes in and around Cheyenne, obtained through law enforcement reports compiled by the Cheyenne Police Department, the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office and the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
DUI: Controlled Substance, Wyott Drive, Dec. 6, CPD
A 31-year-old Cheyenne woman is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance after police spoke to her at 1:49 p.m. on the 1900 block of Wyott Drive.
A booking sheet states the officer was contacted by probation and parole staff about a driver who appeared under the influence. The officer made contact with the woman and conducted roadside sobriety tests. The officer says the woman was unable to complete them.
After the officer learned of potential suspected methamphetamine use at 3 a.m.,the woman was taken into custody.
She was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center.
Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, Pioneer Avenue, Dec. 6, LCSO
Nathan Robert Kallevig, 21, a transient Cheyenne man, is charged with subsequent violation of felony failure to register as a sex offender.
A booking sheet states a deputy was told Kallevig was on his way to the sheriff’s office to update his registration. The deputy was already investigating him for not complying with his registration.
After Kallevig updated his registration, the deputy made contact with him in the lobby. He was taken into custody, and taken to the Laramie County Detention Center.
