CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Here is a brief summary of notable crimes in and around Cheyenne, obtained through law enforcement reports compiled by the Cheyenne Police Department, the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office and the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

Resisting Arrest, East Pershing Boulevard, Dec. 26, CPD

Cheyenne Police Department officers apprehended an individual on the 1600 block of East Pershing Boulevard. The arrest occurred at approximately 7:02 p.m., following a dispatch in response to reports of a wanted individual.

The suspect was found and was identified as the subject of four outstanding warrants. These warrants included charges of resisting a peace officer and operating a motor vehicle with an open container, probation violation for incapacitating DUI and possession of marijuana. Other charges included failure to appear for a first offense of domestic battery, failure to comply and interference with emergency calls.

Upon being informed of his warrant status, the suspect attempted to evade arrest, leading to a brief scuffle before officers successfully detained him. He was then transported to the Laramie County Detention Center, where he was booked for resisting arrest in addition to the other charges.
