DUI and Traffic Violation, Story Boulevard near Converse Boulevard, Jan. 2, CPD
At approximately 12:04 a.m., an officer observed a vehicle speeding on Story Boulevard in the vicinity of Converse Boulevard. The vehicle was recorded traveling at 50 mph in a 40 mph zone, prompting a traffic stop, according to arrest booking sheets.
Upon contact, the driver was found to be operating the vehicle without a valid driver’s license. The officer noted the driver’s red and bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and smell of alcohol on her breath. The driver admitted to consuming one shot of alcohol about 30 minutes before the stop.
Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were conducted, indicating impairment. A subsequent breath test revealed a blood alcohol content of 0.085%. The driver’s criminal history showed prior DUI convictions in 2018 and 2021, according to the report.
The driver was then taken to the Laramie County Detention Center, where she was booked on charges of third-offense DUI, speeding and driving without a valid license.
