Call for witnesses: Cheyenne PD investigates over $7K in fraudulent transactions

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Cheyenne Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two individuals possibly linked to a recent vehicle burglary and subsequent credit card fraud according to a social media request for assistance.

The incident involved a victim’s vehicle, left unlocked inside an open garage with valuables inside. Security footage revealed that the suspects entered the garage and stole several items, including a credit card. They then made unauthorized transactions, totaling over $7,000.

Detectives have provided a specific detail about one suspect: the man may have a tattoo of a rose on his left hand according to the request.

Detective Webster of the Cheyenne Police Department is investigating and asks anyone with information or surveillance footage of the crime to contact him at 307-633-6692.
