Update: Dunn Avenue shooting leaves man dead, 2 others injured

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Thursday afternoon, Cheyenne police responded to a shooting on the 3300 block of Dunn Avenue. One victim has died and two others have sustained gunshot wounds.

Around 2 p.m., law enforcement was dispatched to the scene near the intersection of Dunn and East 2nd avenues, Cheyenne police Public Information Officer Alex Farkas told Cap City News. First responders with Cheyenne Fire Rescue and AMR Cheyenne also arrived at the site to assist.

No individuals have been arrested at the time of reporting, according to Farkas. Authorities do not believe there is a threat to the public.

Detectives are currently at the site and have contacted people of interest. The CPD has cautioned the public to stay away from the site.
