CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Christian Michael Vosler, 39, a transient Cheyenne man, is charged with felony failure to register as a sex offender and residing within 1,000 feet of school property, a misdemeanor, as a result of his March 15 arrest.

A Laramie County Sheriff’s Office booking sheet says a deputy was dispatched to the eastbound traffic off-ramp of Interstate 80 and College Drive for an offender compliance check. The area was searched, but deputies found no signs of anyone living there.

Deputies received information that Vosler was staying on the 1500 block of Oak Court. There, a deputy spoke to Vosler, who said he was living where deputies had previously searched. When told they searched the area, Vosler said he stayed at the residence on the 1500 block of Oak Court on March 14, a booking sheet states.

The owner told deputies Vosler had been staying in the basement for about a month.

Vosler was taken into custody and taken to the Laramie County Detention Center.
