(Gregory Hirst, Oil City News)

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A traffic stop turned into a legal ordeal for a 40-year-old Cheyenne woman early Monday morning. Police arrested Jennifer Ann Hood on Foyer Avenue after discovering she was driving without proper vehicle registration, insurance or a valid driver’s license.

Officer Ehlman of the Cheyenne Police Department initiated the stop after noting the vehicle’s failure to maintain its lane. Upon further inspection, it was revealed that Hood was also driving under suspension. When questioned, Hood attempted to provide false identification, complicating her situation further, according to booking sheets.

The search of Hood’s vehicle yielded several baggies of suspected methamphetamine and small containers of suspected marijuana. These findings led to felony charges against her including possession of methamphetamine and a misdemeanor for marijuana possession. She also faces charges of interference with a peace officer and violations for driving under suspension.
