CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Here is a summary of notable crimes in and around Cheyenne, obtained through law enforcement reports compiled by the Cheyenne Police Department, the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office and the Wyoming Highway Patrol. Names for misdemeanor citations have been removed.

DUI, Westland Road, June 6, LCSO

A 55-year-old Cheyenne man is charged with DUI after deputies responded to a report of a drunk driver and they found him sitting in a chair behind his truck eating McDonald’s and drinking a beer.

A booking sheet states deputies were called to the 2300 block of Westland Road at around 9 p.m. for a drunk driver in a drive-thru. The deputy found two men sitting in chairs behind a truck that matched the description. A deputy asked the man if he had been drinking and driving, and he said he had been drinking at his house and then went to McDonald’s for food, the document states.

The man was asked to complete roadside sobriety tests, and deputies determined he was too impaired to drive safely. He was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center.

Public Intoxication, East Lincolnway, June 6, CPD

Police are charging a 19-year-old transient Cheyenne woman with public intoxication, underage person buying/selling/possessing/consuming/soliciting alcohol and underage drinking after they were called at 11:44 p.m. to the 1600 block of East Lincolnway for an impaired person.

Arriving officers found the woman passed out in front of room 26, a booking sheet states. She was not able to wake up. Police saw she was breathing but otherwise unresponsive. Paramedics were called and were able to wake her, the document states.

She was taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for jail clearance, and later was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center.
