CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Four Cheyenne Police Detectives recently received recognition from the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Detectives J. Reiber, M. Freeman, C. Sanne and S. Smith were honored at the Wyoming Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee Award Ceremony. The awards celebrated their work on a significant drug investigation.

The detectives, part of the DEA Task Force, were instrumental in “Operation Shattered Glass.” This operation led to over 30 drug-related arrests across Wyoming and Colorado. The detectives’ efforts removed over 12,000 fentanyl pills, 600 grams of methamphetamine, 60 grams of heroin and five guns from the streets.

Many of the individuals arrested faced federal charges. Consequently, they received sentences ranging from 24 to 120 months in federal prison.
