CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A 38-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony aggravated assault with a weapon charge, plus a misdemeanor count of reckless endangering with a firearm, after police say he pointed the gun at a bar manager June 22.

Anthony Stephen Gibbons was arrested shortly after midnight Saturday after police responded to the 2100 block of East Lincolnway for a report of a man firing a gun.

Arriving officers reported that Gibbons matched the description given by the reporting party. He obeyed commands to lie down, and he was taken into custody, a booking sheet states.

Witnesses told police there was a fight and one man was knocked out. Gibbons had a firearm, and he fired it twice into the air. He then pointed it at the bar manager before running away, the booking sheet states.

Gibbons was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center.
