CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Cheyenne police arrested 33-year-old Benjamin James-George Woodworth at 3:28 a.m. July 9 for burglary. Officers responded to a suspicious person call on East 4th Street, according to booking sheets.

Officer Gordon arrived at the scene and spotted Woodworth in the area of East 3rd Street and Russell Avenue. Woodworth matched the description provided by CPD dispatch. A witness stated she saw someone matching Woodworth’s description entering her neighbor’s car with a backpack.

After being read his Miranda rights, Woodworth said he opened the car door but claimed he did not take anything. However, during an inventory of his backpack, officers found two items taken from the vehicle, the booking sheets state.
