Cheyenne police arrest suspect in connection to July 21 shooting at Pointe Park

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Cheyenne police detectives have arrested a man in connection with a shots-fired incident that took place on July 21 at Pointe Park, located at 930 Gardenia Drive.

Detectives identified the suspect as Noah Salazar, 21, of Cheyenne, after ongoing investigative efforts. Salazar turned himself in late Sept. 4, according to booking sheets, and has cooperated with police, providing multiple statements. He was booked into the Laramie County Jail on Sept. 4, facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

According to police, the incident began when Salazar and three other occupants of a white sedan confronted a man walking on Gardenia Drive, later identified as William Nicholson, 19, of Cheyenne. During the altercation, Salazar allegedly exited the vehicle and fired several shots in Nicholson’s direction. No injuries were reported.

Nicholson was arrested as a suspect in a seperate shooting incident Sept. 5.
