Drug Possession, Highway 85, Sept. 11, LCSO
A 40-year-old man from Cheyenne was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance after deputies responded to a report of a sleeping driver on Highway 85.
A firefighter at the scene found the man asleep in his vehicle with a baggie containing a green leafy substance on the passenger seat. The man told the deputy he pulled over to use his phone and fell asleep, and that the baggie contained spice, a booking sheet states.
The deputy confirmed the baggie’s contents and weight, and after determining the man was not under the influence, arrested him and took him to the Laramie County Detention Center.
Drug Possession, East Lincolnway, Sept. 11, CPD
A 31-year-old transient woman from Cheyenne has been charged with possession/use of amphetamine-type drugs following a disturbance call.
Police responded to a report of a verbal argument between two women on the 3700 block of East Lincolnway. One said she had a metal straw, which the officer determined to be a tooter with suspected fentanyl residue. Officers also found several small bags containing a white powdery substance, and one containing suspected methamphetamine.
The woman was arrested and taken to the Laramie County Detention Center.
