CASPER, Wyo. — A Cody man was arrested and charged in connection to an investigation that yielded homemade explosives, according to a press release from the Cody Police Department. The press release did not specify the charges against 64-year-old Randall Bailey.
Officers have now completed the on-scene investigation on Musser Road in rural Park County that was announced Thursday.
The Cody Police Department and other agencies investigated an address on Musser Road about 3 miles east of Cody and just north of U.S. Highways 14/16/20, also known as Greybull Road.
The case initially started with looking at potential protection order violations, auto burglary and stalking. However, officers discovered homemade explosive devices and potentially illegally possessed firearms and equipment. At this time, the investigation into this aspect of the case remains ongoing and no charges have been filed in connection with the explosives.
Besides the Cody Police Department, other agencies included the Park County Sheriff’s Office, Regional Bomb Team and U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Multiple search warrants have been executed to ensure public safety and further assess the situation. Additional law enforcement personnel will remain in the area to support ongoing operations.
