Cheyenne, Wyo. — Judge Thomas Lee presided over a series of hearings in Laramie County Circuit Court on Dec. 11, addressing arraignments, status hearings and plea changes. Several defendants failed to appear, prompting bench warrants.
Failures to Appear
- Luke Koehn failed to appear for his arraignment. Judge Lee issued a bench warrant.
- Christian Niell missed a scheduled case review for a deferral, with no additional findings noted during the hearing.
- Patrick O’Boyle failed to appear for his arraignment, leading to the issuance of a bench warrant.
- Marcio Martinez Arguenta was scheduled for a hearing on his attorney’s motion to withdraw from the case. His lawyer reported that he had been deported by immigration. A bench warrant was issued, and the court approved the attorney’s withdrawal.
Arraignments
- Andrew Zielinski pleaded not guilty to charges of second-offense driving under suspension and driving without an interlock device. A scheduling conference was set for April 2025.
- Muhamed Lakhal was scheduled for arraignment, but the hearing was continued to a later date.
Status Hearings
- Elvis Rahimic appeared for a status hearing on a deferral. No issues were found, and his next status hearing was set for July 2025.
- Cody Harris attended a hearing on a motion to modify testing requirements. Judge Lee approved moving testing oversight from the Drug Testing Center of Cheyenne to probation and parole.
Change of Plea
- Melissa Henderson pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and theft under a plea agreement. The court found a factual basis for her plea, and an interference charge was dismissed. Henderson was sentenced to 134 days for each charge, to run concurrently, with credit for 134 days’ time served. Both court fees and public defender fees were waived due to inability to pay.
