Cheyenne police investigate shots fired on Melton Street

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Cheyenne police are investigating a report of shots fired on Melton Street on Dec. 10.

Officers responded around 7 p.m. to the 900 block of Melton Street after residents reported hearing multiple gunshots and seeing two men running from the area.

A search of the neighborhood was conducted, but officers were unable to locate the source of the gunfire.

The following day, police discovered that a home on Melton Street had been struck by gunfire at least 10 times. No injuries were reported.
