A California man was arrested for DUI and reckless driving after being stopped for traveling well below the speed limit in a hazardous manner.

At 1:01 a.m., Deputy Johnson with the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office observed an SUV traveling at 8 mph in a 40 mph zone near Interstate 180 and 6th Street, creating a hazard for other drivers. The driver displayed signs of intoxication, including bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. After failing field sobriety tests, the driver was arrested for DUI and cited for impeding traffic.

Unlicensed Commercial Driving, West College Drive, Jan. 8, WHP

An Illinois man was arrested after being found operating a commercial vehicle without the required license or registration.

At 5:55 p.m., Trooper Moniz with the Wyoming Highway Patrol stopped a truck and trailer at the Love’s parking lot on West College Drive. The driver failed to produce a commercial license or valid registration. The man admitted to driving commercially despite lacking proper authorization and was arrested on multiple violations.

Child Endangerment and DUI, Wyoming Highway 210, Jan. 8, WHP

A Cheyenne woman was arrested for DUI and child endangerment after driving recklessly with a child in the vehicle.

At 2:10 p.m., Trooper Pushcar with the Wyoming Highway Patrol observed a pickup truck speeding past a road closure on Wyoming Highway 210. The driver exhibited signs of impairment during the stop, and a child was found unrestrained in the back seat. The driver was arrested for DUI, child endangerment and traffic violations.

Fighting and Drug Possession, East 23rd Street, Jan. 9, CPD

A transient man was arrested for fighting, disturbing the peace and possessing drugs after causing a disturbance at a hospital.

At 12:40 a.m., Officer Wright with the Cheyenne Police Department responded to a hospital where security had detained a man for trespassing and aggressive behavior. The suspect had been combative with staff and was found to be in possession of a controlled substance during a search. He was arrested on multiple charges.
