Public Intoxication, East Lincolnway, Jan. 15, CPD

A 39-year-old transient woman was arrested for public intoxication after being found in a parking lot hugging a bottle of vodka.

At 7:44 a.m., Officer McGraw of the Cheyenne Police Department responded to a call at the American Legion on East Lincolnway regarding a woman lying in the parking lot. Laramie County Sheriff’s deputies were already on scene and had located the woman in the fetal position clutching a nearly empty vodka bottle.

The woman refused medical treatment and displayed signs of intoxication, including slurred speech and poor balance. She was arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center on a charge of public intoxication.


Drug Possession and Interference, East 12th Street and Platte Avenue, Jan. 15, CPD

A 36-year-old transient man was arrested for drug possession, interference with a peace officer and a civil warrant during a traffic stop.

At 5:58 p.m., Officer Bolkovatz of the Cheyenne Police Department conducted a traffic stop at East 12th Street and Platte Avenue. The front passenger, identified as the suspect, initially provided a false name. Dispatch confirmed he had an active warrant for a civil violation out of Laramie County.

During a search, officers found two suspected methamphetamine pipes with residue and a piece of foil containing a melted fentanyl pill. The man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, interference with a peace officer and the civil warrant. He was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center.


Disturbing the Peace and Trespassing, West Fox Farm Road, Jan. 15, CPD

A 71-year-old transient man was arrested for disturbing the peace and violating a trespass warning after repeatedly returning to a hotel where he had been previously banned.

At 8:15 p.m., Officer Garcia of the Cheyenne Police Department responded to a report of a man trespassing at a hotel on West Fox Farm Road. The man had been issued a criminal trespass warning earlier in the evening and was informed he was not allowed on the property.

Despite this, he returned to the location multiple times. Officers found him sitting in the hotel lobby. The man was arrested for disturbing the peace and violating the trespass warning and was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center.
