CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Judge Catherine R. Rogers presided over a criminal docket in Laramie County District Court on Jan. 16, handling arraignments, sentencings, bond revocations and probation matters. Highlights included plea changes, bond adjustments and sentencing decisions with an emphasis on treatment and probation.
Sentencing & Failure to Appear
- Geronimo Esquibel – Esquibel was scheduled for sentencing, which was rescheduled for March. He will participate in residential treatment, and his performance will be reviewed at sentencing.
Probation Revocation Arraignment
- Amber Dawn Bair – Bair denied allegations of violating probation. Bond was set on her own recognizance as she is already on a $10,000 surety bond in Casper.
Bond Revocation Arraignments
- Daniel K. James – James pleaded not guilty to new charges in one case, with trial set for May. He admitted to violating bond by being charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond was revoked, and the original bond was returned to the poster. A $5,000 cash or surety bond was set, concurrent across cases but consecutive to bonds in circuit court.
- Aulisa Felipita Trivino – Trivino admitted to violating bond by being charged with aggravated assault and felony unlawful entry. Bond was reinstated at $1,000 cash, consecutive to a $5,000 bond on another docket.
- Christopher Leyo – Leyo was ordered released on his own recognizance to attend treatment, starting on the day his treatment begins. The state did not object to the bond reduction.
Arraignments
- Timothy Burney – Burney pleaded not guilty, with trial set for May. The defense requested a bond modification to $2,500 cash across cases, but the court maintained a $10,000 cash bond consecutive to other cases.
- Stephen Paige – Paige pleaded not guilty, with trial set for May. The defense argued for bond reduction due to work and medical issues. Bond was set at $2,500 cash or surety.
- Brucene Wilson – Wilson’s arraignment was continued to Feb. 13 to obtain proof of medical inability to attend court.
- Terry Lee Bauser – Bauser pleaded not guilty to amended information, and trial was set for May.
- Wayne R. Clark – Clark failed to appear for arraignment. The defense stated that Clark was aware of the hearing. A bench warrant was issued.
- Kent E. Good – Good pleaded not guilty, with trial set for May.
Change of Plea & Sentencing
- Vance Aulis – Aulis pleaded guilty to felony possession of methamphetamine under a plea agreement for three to five years suspended for three years of probation. The judge expressed concerns about the Colorado Department of Corrections recommending prison and ordered a new presentence investigation report. Sentencing was set for April.

- Timothy Tyler Jr. – Tyler pleaded guilty to felonious restraint under a plea agreement recommending two to four years suspended for three years of probation. Sentencing was set for April, with a presentence investigation report ordered.
- Dane Paul Raggio – Raggio pleaded guilty to felony possession of cocaine-based crack cocaine and DUI under a plea agreement. Sentencing was set for April, with a deferral contemplated on the possession charge.
Bond Forfeiture Hearing
- Yzail Ashton Gauna – The state requested that funds be returned to the surety who posted Gauna’s bond. A new bond was set at $2,500 cash, concurrent across Gauna’s dockets.
Sentencing
- Krista R. Johnson – Johnson was sentenced to 18–36 months suspended for two years of probation after complying with bond conditions and showing progress in counseling. Court fees were assessed, and public defender fees were waived.
- Chelsea Roberts – Roberts received two to four years suspended for three years of probation on each count, to run concurrently. The judge commended her for significant progress in her life. Public defender fees were waived, and credit was given for 16 days served.
