Laramie County Crime Clips (3/10/25–3/11/25)

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Here is a summary of notable crimes in and around Cheyenne, obtained through law enforcement reports compiled by the Cheyenne Police Department, the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office and the Wyoming Highway Patrol. Names for misdemeanor citations have been removed.

False Imprisonment, Interstate 80, March 10, WHP

A woman was arrested early Tuesday morning on charges of battery and false imprisonment, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.  

A trooper responded to a report of a domestic assault inside a commercial motor vehicle traveling on Interstate 80. The reporting party, a male co-driver, said he had been physically assaulted and was being held against his will by the female driver.  

The trooper found the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop near mile marker 370.5. Upon approaching the vehicle, the man exited with a bloodied face and quickly moved past the trooper. The female driver was placed under arrest after the trooper was told she repeatedly struck the man in the face during a disagreement, and refused multiple requests to let him out of the truck. The man told the trooper she threatened his life as well.

The woman was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center without incident.

Unlawful Use of 911, West Prosser Road, March 10, LCSO

A 43-year-old transient Cheyenne woman was arrested for misusing the 911 emergency reporting system, according to the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office.  

The woman is accused of calling 911 15 times and texting 911 14 times between 4:28 p.m. and 5:37 p.m. March 10. Deputies said she did not have an emergency and she was told to stop contacting 911.  

The woman’s calls and texts were reportedly made during a time when dispatchers were handling emergency calls, including a large grass fire. She was arrested, placed in handcuffs and taken to jail without incident, a booking sheet states.
