CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A transient Cheyenne teen is facing a felony threat charge along with multiple misdemeanors after police responded to a disturbance call Tuesday.

Kyree Deaon Kaleb Payne-Laramore, 19, is charged with aggravated assault threat with a weapon, interference with a peace officer without injury, being under the influence of controlled substance and possession of a powdery substance, marijuana-type drug and pill or capsule.

The incident occurred at 7:26 p.m. on the 2000 block of Dunn Avenue. The officer that made contact with Payne-Laramore noted an odor of marijuana, poor balance and bloodshot eyes, a booking sheet states.

Payne-Laramore refused to get into the patrol vehicle after being told to do so and was taken to the ground to gain control. Control holds were used while Payne-Laramore was on the ground, and he was placed in a WRAP restraint. He was then taken to the Laramie County Detention Center.

During the booking process, deputies found a small plastic baggie with a white powder substance suspected of being cocaine. A search of the vehicle revealed a glass pipe with suspected methamphetamine residue and suspected marijuana. Also found in the vehicle was 1.93 grams of alprazolam, a prescription antidepressant.

Officers said that before their arrival, Payne-Laramore threatened his grandfather with a 10-inch fixed knife blade, similar to a machete. He’s suspected of going to the 200 block of Dunn Avenue to threaten his grandfather. Payne-Laramore had the knife in his right hand, slapping his left hand with the blade while sitting in his vehicle, police said. His grandfather was standing in the middle of the road, about 15 feet from Payne-Laramore, and said he felt threatened. Payne-Laramore was heard saying he wanted to slit his grandfather’s throat and didn’t care if he went to prison, the booking sheet states.
