Driver fatigue is being investigated as a possible contributing factor in a head-on collision on Wyoming Highways 26/287, that claimed the life of one Wyoming resident.
Jo Anne Meeker, age 62, was identified as the driver of a Nissan passenger vehicle, who died as a result of the crash.
A preliminary crash summary from the Wyoming Department of Transportation says that the incident occurred just after 6:15 am, October 21, 2020; at milepost 29, in Fremont County.

A commercial International straight-truck was eastbound while the Nissan was westbound. The driver of the International reportedly fell asleep and the vehicle is believed to have crossed the centerline into the opposing lane of travel and impacted the Nissan in an offset head-on type collision.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol investigation into the incident continues.
Meeker was reported to have been wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
