CASPER, Wyo. — A private passenger aircraft carrying a pilot and passenger crashed in a remote area in Albany County, according to a release from the Albany County Sheriff’s Office, which said there are “no known survivors from this crash.”
The agency received a call on Sunday, May 14 just before noon from the Denver International Airport that it had lost contact with the private aircraft as it flew over Albany County, the release said.
The Albany County Sheriff’s Office, Albany County Search and Rescue, Laramie Fire Department, and Classic Air Medical were deployed for the incident and located the crash around the Dutton Creek Road area.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Traffic Safety Board were contacted to conduct a federal investigation into the crash, the release said.
