CASPER, Wyo. — A Wyoming resident is dead after a rollover crash on Interstate 25 near Casper.
According to a Wyoming Highway Patrol preliminary report, the incident occurred just before 6 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1 when a Kia Sportage was northbound on Interstate 25 near mile marker 180.
The vehicle left the roadway to the left, causing the driver to overcorrect. The Kia then crossed all northbound travel lanes and left the roadway to the right in a driver’s-side-leading skid, after which the vehicle tripped and rolled.
The WHP says Wyoming resident Austin Wisecup, 29, died in the incident. Their seat belt was listed as improperly used in the report. Weather conditions were clear and dry, they said.
