CHEYENNE, Wyo. — One person died and two others were injured in a Jan. 12 collision in Laramie County.
Two vehicles were headed west along Interstate 80, with the car in front traveling about 25 mph with its hazard lights on. The trailing vehicle was driving roughly 65 mph. According to Wyoming Highway Patrol reports, the driver of the trailing vehicle didn’t see that the first vehicle was going under the speed limit with its hazard lights on, and struck the rear of the vehicle’s trailer.
The crash occurred at 10:24 a.m. near milepost 344, close to Cheyenne.
Killed in the wreck was 41-year-old Oregon resident Leonid Paladiy. Two others sustained injuries.
