LARAMIE, Wyo. — Cowboys and Cowgirls, including Pokes alumni and young Pokes-to-be, from all across Wyoming gathered today to celebrate Homecoming at the University of Wyoming.

The Homecoming Parade stretched across Grand Avenue in the heart of downtown Laramie as representatives from the school’s many sports teams, clubs, fraternities and sororities showed their gratitude for the continued support from Pokes fans across the state.

Wyoming also made sure to celebrate the many first responders and veterans who protect and serve the university, Laramie and the entire state. Many of the state’s elected officials — including Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon, U.S. Senator John Barrasso and U.S. House Representative Harriet Hageman — also made an appearance.

The energy in Laramie today is palpable as Wyoming’s first in-conference football game approaches. Looking to get their first win of the season, the Cowboys are taking on the Air Force Academy Falcons today at 6 p.m. Mountain Time.

Currently, Air Force is 1–2 for the season while Wyoming sits at 0–4. Could this be the game in which Wyoming gets over the hump? The crowds lining the streets of Laramie donned in Cowboy attire would think so.
