CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Gov. Mark Gordon has ordered the Wyoming State Flag to be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol Building in Cheyenne and in Sweetwater County from sunrise to sunset Thursday, Aug. 15.

The governor’s order serves to honor Carl A. “Charlie” Maldonado, who represented Sweetwater County in the Wyoming House of Representatives from 1983 to 1988 and in the Wyoming Senate from 1989 to 1994. He also served as minority whip from 1993 to 1994. Maldonado passed away June 30.

This notice is only for the Wyoming State Flag and only at the two locations noted above. Other flags should remain at full staff.
