CHEYENNE, Wyo. – The Cheyenne Downtown Authority, also known as The DDA, in partnership with Thrivent Financial and The Plains Hotel has announced that their second-annual free Chari-Tree event will continue to run in downtown Cheyenne through Saturday, December 14th.
The trees are on display in the hallways of The Plains Hotel, located at 1600 Central Avenue that face Lincolnway.
The Chari-Tree event gives a number of Cheyenne non-for-profits an opportunity to decorate a holiday tree that may be used for awareness/donations or to be bid on through a silent auction.
Organizations that are said to be creating trees for this year’s Chari-Tree event include: The Boys & Girls Club, COMEA, St. Joseph’s Food Pantry, Equal Justice Wyoming Foundation, Unaccompanied Students Initiative, DDA Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Safehouse, K9’s 4 Mobility, Needs Inc., Cheyenne Day of Giving, Children’s Museum of Cheyenne, Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative, Re-Peak, Family Promise, The Lincoln, Donate Life Wyoming, Cheyenne Family YMCA and the Cheyenne Animal Shelter.
According to the DDA statement, the winners of the trees through silent auction will be able to either pick up their trees or have them delivered.
