LCSD #1 spent holiday season serving the community

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – The staff and students of Laramie County School District No.1 spent their holiday season giving back to the residents of Cheyenne.

Here are a few of the ways that LCSD #1 helped provide some holiday cheer and much needed donations to those in our community who needed it:

Afflerbach Elementary School’s student council recently held a donation drive called “Sharing is Caring,” for the Comea Shelter. (LCSD #1, Facebook)
Laramie County School District 1 employees donated hygiene items, snacks and gift cards for students who are served by PEEPS and the At Risk Kids Programs. (LCSD #1, Facebook)
Laramie County School District 1, social workers, counselors and community volunteer Corey Loghry handed out 1,200 gifts for students in the district, including, PODER and Bright Kids. (LCSD #1, Facebook)
Davis Elementary School’s student council recently sold candy grams. The school raised $300 to help families in need this holiday season. (LCSD #1, Facebook)
Henderson Elementary School’s kindergarten and sixth-grade students went caroling at Whispering Chase Retirement Home and received a visit from Santa.
